Prof. P.T. Rajan, B.Sc., B.E., M.Tech., the Principal with 25 years of rich academic and administrative experience in Technical Education. He obtained his M.Tech. degree from the National Institute of Technology, Jamshedpur. He was awarded Prizes for having guided best projects. He has visited foreign countries for presenting papers in conferences and attending courses. He served as a committee member for International conferences and referee for International journals. As a guiding star, he steers the institution towards glorious future. His role in the development of the institution is quite laudable and worth emulating.

FROM THE PRINCIPAL´S DESK

Karpagam Polytechnic College is expected to blossom into an institution par excellence and striving hard to achieve the excellence in Technical Education. With the past years of fruitful and dedicated service, it has earned enviable reputation. It is only because of the untiring efforts of the chairman and Managing Trustee, whole-hearted support rendered by the Administrative Officer and the healthy co-operation of the Staff. The college had been achieving excellence in academic and sports and also producing good results in different branches in the semester examinations. And also I hope that it would scale greater heights of excellence in all sectors in the years to come. The management has provided all infrastructure facilities required to providing sound education. The college can boast of spacious classrooms, fully equipped laboratories, workshops and drawing halls. Library transactions are computerized and it is stacked with the latest edition of books, magazines and journals. Three computer centers with number of systems in network along with internet facilities.

A decent education is a passport to a good, comfortable and secured life. It should enable youngsters to become contributing members of society through knowledge, skills and character development. Along with other co-curricular and extra curricular activities, short term and value added course are being conducted for the students during the vacation in every semester. The institute has the placement cell too, which interacts with the leading industries, arranges for campus interviews and offer ample job opportunities to the students of different disciplines. Besides imparting engineering knowledge, great emphasis is laid on building of character and discipline in students.
